Appeal for a Premises Manager: A wonderful Opportunity to be part of the SAB team

Dear friends and family of Steiner Academy Bristol,

I think we all appreciate the amazing teaching and learning environment afforded to us by our beautiful  campus. The entire school community benefits from the indoor and outdoor spaces across the site, which we will continue to develop as we grow.

However, our beautiful site is not without its challenges – there is the need for regular repair and maintenance of our facilities (which sometimes requires creative solutions to comply with listed building status); there is the need to monitor heating, water and other environmental systems to keep our school community safe; and there is also a need to manage the service contracts that are in place.

Our current Caretaking arrangements rely on an outsourced service, but, our buildings need and deserve someone who is part of our community, who loves and cherishes them with all their challenges and opportunities, as well as someone with basic, practical all-round ‘DIY’ skills and a see-it, do-it approach to work.

To maintain and develop our lovely environment, we are seeking to recruit a Premises Manager to work during the school day, as well as planned maintenance activities during school holidays.

The rate of pay is negotiable, depending on experience and budget; any anti-social hours will be paid extra.  We are open to job shares, providing the combined hours meet the business needs of the school. All staff appointments are subject to references and an enhanced DBS clearance.

If you, or any friends or family, have the skills and interest in this role, please email melissa.hardwell@steineracademybristol.org.uk, by 16th May,  to arrange an informal discussion and tour of the school.

Warmest  regards,

Melissa Hardwell, Interim Resources and Operations Manager

Joss Hayes, Principal
