We're thrilled to announce that Steiner Academy Bristol now has a Principal Designate! Angie Browne is a highly experienced teacher and senior manager with very strong professional skills. She was previously Vice Principal at City Academy in Bristol, so she really understands the local context for our school; more recently she has been Headteacher for Education Other Than At School, South Gloucestershire, responsible for five settings including Pupil Referral and Behaviour Support teams.

But perhaps more importantly, Angie is absolutely committed to providing the best possible education for all children and has enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to move into the expanding Steiner Academies sector. She writes:

"I love working in education and finding creative ways to facilitate children’s academic and personal growth and I am passionate about inner city education providing excellence, offering meaningful opportunities and ensuring a good entitlement for all. It is for these reasons that I am delighted to be taking up the position of Principal of Steiner Academy Bristol and to be a part of this new direction for Steiner education."

Angie will start as Principal in September 2014 and will be working with us on recruitment, training and education policy in the meantime. We will be running two events this autumn to give parents a chance to come and meet her - details will be posted on this site and sent out through our email newsletter.
