If you have been refused a place and you are not happy with the decision, you have the right to appeal. You must appeal within one month of the date when you received notice that your application was unsuccessful.
You can download an appeal form using the link at the bottom of this page, or you can contact us and ask us to email or post you a form.
All appeals will be heard by an independent panel arranged via Bristol City Council, in the same way as appeals for other state funded schools.
Your appeal will need to set out the reasons why you think your child should have been admitted. Reasons for appeal could include:
- That you feel the admission arrangements haven’t been properly followed
- That you feel that the admission criteria aren’t legal according to the school admissions appeal code
- That the decision to refuse your child a place wasn’t reasonable
School appeals are operated according to a timetable that is linked to offer dates. Click here to download the 2016-17 school appeals timetable.
